What: Round Table Discussions: Parallel Session

Overview: These round table discussions will focus on some of the key themes network members have identified on the horizon (or in the present) for higher education. Each theme will be opened with two-to-three short presentations giving a context from their perspective followed by a chaired discussion on the topic. These sessions should be thought provoking and provide ideas and inspiration for future work streams.

The topics proposed are:

  • The impact of the internet of things, artificial intelligence and virtual campus on campus based universities
  • Are degrees still relevant and necessary for employment?
  • Freedom of expression, the internet and sustainable development
  • The role of Universities as place makers in the local economy

Contributors Required: The session will require a Chair who can facilitate the discussion and two-to-three presenters on each theme.
