Professor Bruno M. Carvalho is the Deputy International Relations Officer of the UFRN. Bruno earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (1991), a M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1995) and a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania (2003). He has extensive experience teaching varied courses in Computer Science, while his research interests are more focused on theories and applications in Visual Computing, such as image reconstruction, image segmentation and object classification. He is currently involved in the development of solutions for biological, medical and geological applications.
