Professor Charlou A. Bautista is a dynamic academic leader, social innovator, and youth advocate with impactful contributions in entrepreneurship, circular economy, technology, and community development. He has previously served as Chief of the MSU Intellectual Property Office and Manager of the Innovation and Technology Support Office at the Mindanao State University (MSU) Main Campus. Currently, he holds dual roles as the Special Assistant to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs at MSU, Internationalization Coordinator for the College, and Extension Focal for the Department of Marketing in the College of Business Administration and Accountancy.

Professor Bautista earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Entrepreneurship, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at Cebu Institute of Technology University. He plays a key role as a faculty member at the Department of Marketing within the College of Business Administration and Accountancy. His academic and community work focuses on empowering young entrepreneurs, building social enterprises, and integrating sustainability principles into education, policy, and community programs.

One of his flagship initiatives is his hands-on mentorship and incubation support for student-led startups, notably NeoRanao, a circular fashion brand co-founded by his students. This youth-led enterprise exemplifies his advocacy in developing young entrepreneurs who address real-world social and environmental issues. His expertise extends beyond national borders, earning him recognition as an international resource speaker and consultant. Recent speaking engagements include a conference hosted by the Southeast Asian Institute for Transformational Entrepreneurship at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Additionally, he was invited as a Visiting Professor at Universitas Islam Negeri Imam Bonjol Padang, Indonesia.
