Dr Ammar Aldallal

Ammar AlDallal, Chairperson of Telecommunications Engineering Department, Ahlia University. He holds Bachelor degree and Master degree in computer engineering from Kuwait University and obtained PhD in computing and systems information from Brunel University in 2012. He taught more than 15 different courses in undergraduate and postgraduate related to software development, programming, algorithms, machine learning, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, computer security. He supervised a vast number of graduation projects and successfully supervised 8 master dissertations. AlDallal has more than 17 papers published in regional and international Journals that discuss several aspects related to information retrieval, computer security and machine learning. He serves as a peer reviewer in several international journals. He received a best paper and best presenter awards in several international conferences. He is a member of internal examiner committee of Master dissertations at Ahlia University, a member of Bahrain Society of Engineers and a senior member of IEEE. He is recognized by Brunel University London as a PhD Academic supervisor. Dr. AlDallal received the fellowship of teaching and learning from Higher Education Academy- UK. He worked as a System Programmer in International Turnkey Systems- Kuwait (1998 -2004) and a Senior System Analyst in International Turnkey Systems in Kingdom of Bahrain (2004 -2012).

Major Mohamed AlQassim

Mohamed AlQassim is currently the Head of the Admin Division in the Bahrain Coast Guard. He is currently part of the Brunel University Phd program. He holds a Bsc in Marine Biology and A Master’s in Business Management. He has experience in the field of environmental protection and fisheries due to his previous roles in the coast guard as a patrol officer and previous attachments to the Supreme Council fro the Environment as acting director of the Biodiversity Directorate and earlier employment in the Marine Resources Directorate.

Mr Ivor Morton

Ivor Morton was previously a Senior Executive Vice President of the Central Group, Thailand preceded by his position as Group Managing Director of A.S.Watson, China. His career, spanning 46 years, was founded in the senior management of retail and consumer facing businesses both in the UK, Ireland and the Far East. Known as a business turnaround and growth expert, he develops businesses and commercial chains to become sustainable and successful enterprises with a long term future, built on differentiation in difficult markets. All strategies employed are both ethical and based upon a solid understanding of the consumer and the world in which we live. A Bradford University Alumnus.

Ms Sharon Parkinson

Sharon is the Quality Education for All Publishing Development Manager and the contact for the Emerald Open Research ‘Education and Learning’ gateway. She also has responsibility for working closely with the educational research community to explore and deliver innovative open publishing routes.

Ms Marion Hughes

Marion Hughes is a Bradford alumni having graduated with a BEng in Chemical Engineering in 1987. Marion emigrated to South Africa and has since held a number of positions, including Process Director and Managing Director. Her 35 years’ experience covers conceptual process design, through basic and detailed engineering, construction and commissioning as well as project management, commercial and legal experience. Marion has worked all over the globe including many countries in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. She is currently a Process Consultant.
