Dr Beverley Lucas

Dr Beverley Lucas has extensive teaching and curriculum development experience in Health Professional Education, Pharmacy and Postgraduate Medical Education. Her professional background is Nurse Education and as a Social Scientist, PhD (Edinburgh) her pedagogic research has been published in areas of Medical Education and Pharmacy practice.

She has undertaken related consultancies for the Department of Health and Academic Reviews for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). She has held External Examiner appointments at the Universities of Manchester (Nursing), Salford (Postgraduate Education), Bristol (Postgraduate Medical Education) and Newcastle (Postgraduate Medical Education). She has significant Quality Enhancement experience and has served as Chair of three Faculty Programme Approval and Review committees. Beverley is a member of the RCGP Yorkshire Faculty Board and RCGP Joint Faculty Board.
