Dr Keren Bielby-Clarke

Associate Professor (Life Sciences Simulation)
University of Bradford
Dr Keren Bielby-Clarke has been a member of the Faculty of Life Sciences at the University of Bradford since 2012, after receiving a PhD in Neuropathology from the University of Sheffield, then beginning her teaching career at the University of Leeds in 2005.
Dr Bielby-Clarke is an enthusiastic early-adopter of effective technology-enhanced learning practices, always preferring to utilise interactivity and student engagement over more didactic teaching methods. In recognising opportunities and utilising her experience and energy to overcome challenges, she develops engagement in class and autonomy beyond the lecture theatre, improving inclusivity and accessibility for students and staff, and recognising individual digital literacy and access. She provides support for colleagues and students, previously as an institutional Digital Learning Champion and more recently as an international Academic Champion and the lead for the institutional “Show & TEL” (technology-enhanced learning in teaching) group.
She is also the academic in charge of the University’s Integrated Life Sciences Learning Centre, leading in its development, and responsible for the successful integration of sustainable and inclusive approaches to anatomy and pathology teaching. Dr Bielby-Clarke continues to integrate traditional and sector-leading platforms in life sciences simulation and virtual anatomy across a wide range of programmes and disciplines, enhancing and broadening the student experience.
