Sukhdeep Singh

Dr. Sukhdeep Singh received his B.Sc. degree in medical sciences from Sikh National College Banga, Punjab, India and M.Sc. degree in chemistry and Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India. He joined Prof. Schober’s group at Ilmenau University of Technology in 2008 and has been working on developing methods for chemical synthesis of bioactive molecules and polymer bioconjugates for biomaterial and sensor applications. Recently, Dr. Singh established a research group “Bioorganic Chemistry for Bioactive Surfaces” at Ilmenau University of Technology. His research focuses on establishing and screening organic biomolecules on the surface of material to control biological processes like cell adhesion. The research group is interested in gaining expertise in organic synthesis, polymer science and cell culture to establish smart materials for biotech applications.
