The international COVID-19 pandemic has had a substantial impact across the globe. Faculty and students across all our members have felt this and we have had to evaluate which WTUN activities are safe to continue, as this must be the priority.
For the health and safety of our hosts, members, and delegates, the WTUN Boards have decided that it is best to cancel this year’s physical WTUC 2020, which was due to be held in Germany in October later this year.
However, we will instead be delivering a virtual alternative featuring the usual Congress activities including keynote speakers, parallel sessions, and opportunities to network across the globe, later this year. Please check back to the WTUN website for further information in due course.
We will return to our physical Congress next year with WTUC 2021 being hosted by one of our founder members, Heriot-Watt University at their Malaysia campus. This year’s original hosts, TU Ilmenau will resume their hosting duties in 2022. We look forward to seeing our members and delegates in person next year, but in the meantime, we hope you can join us at our virtual events.
Please stay safe.
