Dr. Ain Naadia binti Mazlan

Dr Ain Naadia Mazlan is a senior lecturer from the Faculty of Civil Engineering Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Dr Naadia specialises in risk management and value engineering. Since her appointment in 2018, she has been the project leader for four grants, including two national and university grants. In addition, she is an associate fellow for the Construction Research Centre, Institute for Smart Infrastructure and Innovative Construction, and a former residential fellow at Kolej Rahman Putra College.

She has published twenty-four articles with twelve indexed papers in SCOPUS and the Web of Science Indexed publications. Dr Naadia Mazlan currently supervises six PhD students. She co-owns a micro-credential course and is a consulting expert in the field of construction management.

She was previously one of the Faculty of Engineering External and Global Engagement coordinators responsible for the School of Civil Engineering internationalisation agenda. Since October 2022, she has been appointed as the manager for international alliances, accountable for twenty-three UTM alliances, including ERASMUS, WTUN, ASAIHL, and GE4. Her office is responsible for any strategic alliance agenda that include promotion, updates, and news.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zainul Akmar bin Zakaria

Dr. Zainul Akmar Zakaria is an Associate Professor of Environmental Technology under the Faculty of Chemical and Energy Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) where he works on waste treatment and resource recovery. He has a Scopus H-index of 22 and has published 2 Research Books and 9 Edited Books with one of his research books awarded the “National Book Award 2018” under the biochemistry category. Dr. Zainul is currently the Associate Editor for the Environmental Quality Management journal under Wiley Publishers, USA. He has been involved as Project Leader in various research projects with cumulative amounts of RM1.9million. He also has had the opportunity to serve as Visiting Scientist to Argentina, Mexico, Indonesia and India as well as being the Program Head for the UTM-CONICET, Argentina R&D Program (2015-2018).

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Nur Azaliah Abu Bakar

Dr. Nur Azaliah Abu Bakar is a transformative leader in academia, IT practice, research, and consultation, with 24 years of expertise. As an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Associate Director of UTM International at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, she drives digital transformation, enterprise architecture, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. With a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Dr. Nur Azaliah has pioneered the “Enterprise Architecture Implementation Assessment Model” for the Malaysian Public Sector. She leads large-scale initiatives as a Lead Enterprise Architect, crafting transformative roadmaps for cyber technology, devising AI strategies, and engineering digitalization frameworks. Her collaborative spirit extends globally, fostering partnerships between academia and industry. Dr. Nur Azaliah’s work is driven by a commitment to innovation, shaping the future of research, industry collaboration, artificial intelligence, and international academic excellence.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurul Hazrina Idris

Dr. Nurul Hazrina Idris is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geoinformation, Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying (FABU), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where she has served since 2005. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Newcastle, Australia in 2014. Currently, she serves as the Manager of External and Global Engagement at FABU and is a Fellow of the Geoscience and Digital Earth Centre, UTM.

Dr. Nurul was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Malaysian Scholar Award 2022/2023, where she undertook a three-month research program at The Ohio State University, USA. She was also the recipient of the Australian Government’s Endeavour Research Fellowship in 2017, conducting a six-month research attachment at the University of Newcastle, Australia.

Her scholarly contributions include 45 peer-reviewed publications with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 15, 12 book chapters, and four edited research volumes published by national and international outlets. Most recently, she co-edited the book “Coastal Altimetry: Selected Case Studies from Asian Shelf Seas”, published by Elsevier. She has successfully secured over RM2 million in research funding through 29 international, national, and institutional grants.

Dr. Nurul’s research interests lie in marine remote sensing, focusing on:

  • Coastal altimetry
  • Sea-level rise and climate change
  • Coastal hazards and erosion
  • Artificial intelligence and expert systems in remote sensing

Her expertise has gained international recognition, leading to the supervision of visiting researchers and international research internships at UTM.

  • Elected Member, IEEE GRSS Malaysia Chapter (since 2020)

  • Chair, Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Ocean Remote Sensing towards Climate Resilience (2021–2026)

Ms Sasima Juwasophi

Ms. Sasima Juwasophi is an experienced professional in the field of international affairs and education management. Currently, she serves as the Director of the International Affairs Office at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), a position she has held since 2015, after a long tenure as an International Relations Officer from 1992 to 2015. Ms. Juwasophi’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in English from Chulalongkorn University and a Master of Arts in English for Career from Thammasat University. Her professional development is marked by several international trainings, including the Management of Internationalization program at Leibniz University, Germany, funded by DAAD, the International Staff Week at the University of Burgundy, France, and participation in the UMAP Staff Exchange Program at the University of Tasmania, Australia. Her expertise lies in fostering global partnerships and managing internationalization efforts within higher education institutions.

Mr. Muhammad Zuhair Gani

Muhammad Zuhair L. Gani is a successful professional with a very strong foundation and a lot of early experience working in the realm of public service. He obtained a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, and due to his persistence and tenacity, he was successful in passing the CPA board exam in 2018. He graduated Juris Doctor at the MSU Iligan Institute Technology. He holds a license for Career Service Professional Eligible as well. Moreover, he adheres to the certified tax technician group.

Mr. Gani has served as an accountant in a variety of professions during every phase of his career, showing an ability for managing accounting departments in every instance. His significant role as Director of MSU University Business Office and Auxiliary Services Division indicates his passion and expertise in this particular field. He is a devoted spouse, a loving parent, and a happily married man. He is still making a lot of effort and being responsible for his everyday responsibilities.

As a result of his highly driven, youthful, and enthusiastic approach to everything he has accomplished, he has performed a wide range of experiences, training, and seminars to get significant experience. Because of this, he was offered the opportunity to be a leader of a kingdom of his own.

In general, he is incredibly intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated. However, what defines him as a person of his quality are his amazing humility and loving simplicity. a benchmark of success improved by morality. Despite having achieved success in all of his endeavors throughout his life, he is best known for serving as an example of how to value those around him. He surrounds himself with people who value solitude, are upbeat, and foster optimism. Zuha faces the challenges of life head-on. So, despite challenges and hardships, he consistently succeeds in reaching every peak. A real-life representation of a man who was born handsome and clever but whose personality is what makes him most endearing and dynamic.

Exceptionally smart, kindly gentle, and extremely dedicated. However, it is his extraordinary humility and lovable simplicity that set him apart as a person of his caliber. a gold standard for greatness enhanced by moral decency. Despite being a lifelong success in every pursuit, he is best renowned for being an inspiration for cherishing those around him. He surrounds himself with people who encourage optimism, appreciates solitude, and reflect cheerfulness. Zuha never backs down from life’s trials, therefore despite difficulties and hardships, he always succeeds in climbing to the top of every mountain. In conclusion, a living metaphor for a man who was born handsome and intelligent but who’s most charming and vibrant quality is his personality.

J.D. Faisal Mangotara

Faisal Gani Mangotara, born on May 27, 1987, in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is a dedicated professional and community leader. He currently serves as Director of the Human Resource Development Office at Mindanao State University Main Campus, a position he has held since August 10, 2022. Prior to this, he contributed significantly as a Land Management Officer at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, from July 4, 2011 to October 31, 2019.

Faisal graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan in Cagayan de Oro City in 2009 and earned his Juris Doctor degree at the Mindanao State University – College of Law Iligan Extension in 2014.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Faisal is a proud member of Beta Sigma Lambda, Inc. Iligan Chapter since 2009, where he was elected as the Most Illustrious Brother in 2011.

Faisal is married to Sittie Aiza Dimakuta Mangotara, and they are proud parents of four (4) children. Today, they resided in Tubod, Rosario Heights, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, continuing to make a positive impact in both his professional and personal life.

Dr Apasrah Mapupuno

Dr. Apasrah M. Macumbal-Mapupuno is a seasoned medical professional and educator with extensive experience in both clinical practice and public health administration. She currently serves as a Professor of Medicine at the Mindanao State University-College of Medicine. Prior to this, she was the Assistant Provincial Health Officer at the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Lanao del Sur under the Ministry of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) from 2023 to 2024.

Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno has held several key roles in public health over the past two decades. From 2009 to 2023, she was a Medical Specialist IV at the IPHO-Lanao del Sur, after serving as Medical Officer IV at the same institution from 2005 to 2009. Her career began at the Medical Services & Hospital of MSU-Marawi, where she worked from 1996 to 2005.

Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from Mindanao State University-College of Medicine in 1994. She furthered her expertise in health systems management, earning a Master in Public Management with a specialization in Health Systems and Development from the Development Academy of the Philippines in 2018. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Mindanao State University-Marawi, earned in 1990.

Throughout her career, Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno has played an instrumental role in several key health programs, serving as the Provincial Medical Coordinator for the Family Planning & Reproductive Health Program, National Immunization Program, National Tuberculosis Program, and Non-Communicable Disease Program from 2005 to 2023. Her leadership was also crucial during the 2017 Marawi Siege, where she managed the operation center for the Marawi Siege Response in Iligan City.

Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno is also a sought-after speaker, facilitator, and lecturer for health program capacity-building, planning workshops, and consultative meetings. She has served in the Medical Team for the Hajj Mission in 2010, 2012, and 2014.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, she is affiliated with several prestigious organizations, including the Philippine Medical Association, Lanao del Sur Medical Society Chapter (where she was President from 2020 to 2022), the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, and the Islamic Medical Association of the Philippines. She is also an active member of the Ranao Council Inc. and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno’s commitment to public health, leadership in medical programs, and academic contributions have significantly impacted her community and beyond. She continues to inspire and guide future medical professionals in her current role as a professor.

Her home is in Marawi City, Philippines, and she maintains close ties to her community both in her professional and personal life.
