Mr Kenbert Alan Ting

Kenbert Alan Ting is an Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer Management Consultant. He is a licensed Electronics Engineer who received his Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from De La Salle University and was awarded the degree of Master in Business Administration with merit by the University of Bradford School of Management. He started his career in Intellectual Property Rights protection at Saint Island International Patent & Law Offices, a Taiwanese law firm that specializes in Intellectual Property. Kenbert previously headed the Patent Group of the firm’s International Department, which handled non-resident patent filings in Taiwan and foreign patent filings for Taiwanese applicants. He directly supervised patent drafting and prosecution operations for a variety of technical disciplines, including mechanical, electronics, software, materials science, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology. As a Consultant, Kenbert assists in the protection and commercialization of Intellectual Property arising from university projects, engages in patent-related capacity building, and holds workshops and seminars to increase Intellectual Property awareness. Aside from completing several Distance Learning Courses offered by WIPO Academy, Kenbert also finished courses in “Commercializing Software and Digital Know-How” offered by Oxentia Ltd. (UK) and “Business and Intellectual Asset Valuation” jointly offered by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (Taiwan) and the Taiwan Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (Taiwan Chapter of NACVA).

Dr Prince Adjei

Dr. Prince Adjei holds a PhD Degree in Development Economics with specialty in Labour Economics. He has over a decade working experience spanning from corporate life to research and teaching at leading tertiary educational institutions in Ghana. Currently, he is a Lecturer at the Department of Liberal Studies at the Koforidua Technical University; an alumnus of the African Economic Research Consortium Nairobi , Kenya and a network member of the World Economics Association. Dr. Adjei has worked as a Research Intern at the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) at Helsinki and served in previous capacities as Industrial Liaison Officer and Coordinator for Grants and Proposals at the Directorate of Research and Innovation, Koforidua Technical University. His key research interests are in the field of Labour Markets, Economics of Education, Poverty, Growth and Development Issues in general.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornapit Darasawang

Associate Professor Dr. Pornapit Darasawang is Vice President for Internationalisation, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Thailand. She obtained her B.A. in English from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand; M.Ed. in Reading from Towson State University, USA; M.A in TESOL from the Moray House Institute of Education, Heriott-Watt University, UK and Ph. D in TESOL from the University of Edinburgh.

As Vice President for Internationalisation, one of her major goals is to develop KMUTT’s students’ intercultural competence and English language proficiency through providing international experience abroad and making use of internationalisation at home from international students who study at KMUTT. Her areas of interest are learner autonomy, learner training, and motivation in language learning. Therefore, she has been teaching in PhD in Applied Linguistics. Courses taught include Theories in Language Learning, Research in Autonomy in Language Learning. MA in Applied Linguistics. Courses taught include: Language Learning Theory, The Establishing and Management of English Language Learning Resource Centres, Individualisation in Language Learning, Research Methods. And supervising MA dissertations and PhD theses. Moreover, she has been involved in teacher training and has given lectures and workshops in the area of self-access learning and qualitative research.

Mr Wan Choy Chee

Mr Chee Wan Choy is pursuing PHD in Chemical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Currently, he is in the 4th semesters of his study and focusing on the organic wastes resource optimization studies related to Pinch Analysis.
