Dr Wipawee Usaha
Wipawee Usaha is currently the Acting Director of the Center for International Affairs, Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand. Dr.Usaha is also on a team of 47 researchers in the Advanced Nanomaterials for Enhancing Sustainable Energy and Environment in Dong Phayayen – Khao Yai World Heritage Project, or ANSEE-Khao Yai project, initiated to address climate neutral sustainable tourism for the world heritage site, preserve its wildlife and forest as well as neutralize carbon footprints. Also a co-founder and research & development advisor for two innovative health tech start ups which are research spin offs from university research, she is also working on affordable healthcare and wellness innovations and technology for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, patients with chronic disease and their caretakers as well as innovations to reduce burden and exposure to COVID-19 for healthcare personnel. Her research interests include wireless sensor networks, signal processing, machine learning, Internet of Things, as well as resource allocation in communication networks. She completed her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Communications and Signal Processing Group, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College London, U.K. in 2004.
