Prof. Dr. Neung Teaumroong

Professor Dr. Neung Teaumroong is now the Vice Rector for Research and Technology Development together with the Dean of Institute of Agricultural Technology. Professor Dr. Neung Teaumroong has the experiences in research administration at Institute of Agricultural Technology for 16 years prior to be appointed as Dean. During the term of Dean and Vice Rector, many regulations regarding research and development have been modified to up – grade SUT – researchers to become more in international level. The most important strategy for sustaining research activity in SUT is to build up research culture. Many strategies have been employed such as promoting show – share events, recruiting more full time researchers, increasing an international networks etc. The blended art and science have been encouraged for life long research journey.

Dr.Tapany Patcharawit

Asst. Prof. Dr. Tapany Patcharawit is currently Deputy Director of Center for International Affairs, Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Thailand. Previously, she was Chair of the School of Metallurgical Engineering at SUT. Her current position is also Chair of Cooperative Education of the School. She received her Ph.D. in Metallurgy and Materials from the University of Birmingham, the United Kingdom. Her teaching and research have been in the field of metallurgical engineering, particularly on forming, testing, and recycling of metals and materials. For industrial engagement, she takes part as the consultant of “Recycling Technology Implementation Boost-up for Sustainably Renewable Resources towards the Development of Eco-Industrial Town Projects”, supported by the Department of Primary Industries and Mines, the Ministry of Industry, Thailand.

Prof. Dr. Christoph Harff

Prof. Dr. Christoph Harff has been Professor of International Economics and Behavioral Economics at HSHL since 2017. He studied economics at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg and master’s degree in economics at the State University of New York at Albany. He received his PhD in monetary theory and monetary policy from the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. Prof. Harff started his professional career at Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt, London and Hamburg.

A further step in his career was a senior position in wealth management at the renowned Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie. At HSHL, Prof. Harff teaches and conducts research on, among other things, applied behavioral economics, such as how behavioral interventions (“nudges”) can help people make better decisions in areas of health, nutrition or finance. Prof. Harff is co-author of the book “Corporate Nudging – Changing Behavior Patterns in Organizations through Intelligent Nudges” (www.corporatenudging.com).

Professor Judith M. Pütter

Professor Judith M. Pütter is Full Professor of Business Administration especially in the field of strategic and sustainability management at University of Applied Sciences in Hamm-Lippstadt, Germany. She received her doctoral degree on “Sustainability Reporting in Central and Eastern European Countries” at Stuttgart University (Germany) Her research interests include sustainability reporting, sustainability management and circular economy. She gained experience in leading several international research projects.

Professor Pütter has published articles in several international conference proceedings, book chapters, and journals. Also as an independent consultant, she helps communities and businesses realize new perspectives through implementing sustainable strategies and processes. She passes this knowledge to her students, to raise their awareness for sustainability solutions.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Müller

Jens Müller received his diploma degree for electrical engineering and the doctoral degree from TU Ilmenau, Germany, in 1992 and 1997 respectively. From 1997 to 2005, he held managing positions in development departments at Micro Systems Engineering GmbH, Berg, Germany. His responsibilities included research and development of medical implants (especially heart pacemakers) and general substrate and packaging development (e.g. LTCC, flex-circuits, Chip Scale Packaging).

In 2005, he returned to Ilmenau University of Technology to establish the junior research group “Functionalised Peripherics”. In July 2008 he was assigned full professor for the Electronics Technology Group at the same university. Since 2021 he has been the Vice President International Affairs and Transfer.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samak Kaewsuksaeng

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samak Kaewsuksaeng is the Vice President for Research and Innovation of Thaksin University, Thailand. He is an expert in post-harvest technology. He was a visiting scholar at the Faculty of Agriculture, Yamaguchi University, Japan and many esteemed universities in Korea, and USA. Furthermore, he was granted for training course on “the Postharvest Physiology, Pathology and Handling of Fresh Commodities” Agricultural Research Organization (ARO), Israel. He has 14 years teaching experiences and has published numerous research papers in national and international publications.

Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Ariffin Abu Hasan

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Ariffin bin Abu Hassan is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from UMIST, the United Kingdom in 2004. Presently, he is the Director of UTM International, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia of which through this appointment, he has been selected for other significant posts. Dr. Mohd Ariffin is the first Erasmus+ National Focal Point (ENFP) for Malaysia and he has recently been appointed as an Advisory Council Member of the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE). He is also the Executive Director and Chair of Steering Committee of Asia Technological University Network (ATU-Net) and Operational Board Members for World Technology Universities Network (WTUN)..

Dr Jhy-Chern Liu

Professor Jhy-Chern (JC) Liu is the Vice president and professor of Taiwan Tech, Taiwan. Prior to this he was Dean of College of Engineering and Chairman of Department of Chemical Engineering. Prof Liu received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Delaware, USA.

Prof Liu’s research interests consist of recycling of rare earth elements (REEs) from e-waste, and treatment and reuse of industrial wastewater. He has published over 100 papers in international journals. He also serves as the Director of SDGs and Institutional Research Center of Taiwan Tech.

Professor Prathivadi Anand

Professor PB Anand is Professor of Public Policy and Sustainable Development and (since February 2019) also the Head of the Department of Peace Studies and International Development celebrating its Golden Jubilee year at the University of Bradford. Professor Anand has published many papers in international refereed journals on the capability approach, human right to water, on the pathways to sustainable development in extractive economies, on river water disputes, and most recently on smart and sustainable cities. With Dr Flavio Comim and Dr Shailaja Fennell he has been a co-convenor of the Cambridge Capability Conferences from which two books on advancing capability approach (2018 and 2024) are published by Cambridge University Press. Prof Anand has been the lead editor of the 1107-page volume titled Handbook of BRICS and Emerging Economies published by the Oxford University Press (2021). Anand has completed many assignments for the UNDP most notably as the Principal Author of the Mongolia National Human Development Report. At Bradford he has been a member of the Senate (presently fourth term) and previously served as a member of the University Council (2014-18). He is presently on the council of the British Association for South Asian Studies (BASAS). Anand is a Fellow of the Human Development and Capability Association and the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. Anand has won many awards for his teaching excellence and outstanding support for students.
