Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nurul Hazrina Idris
Dr. Nurul Hazrina Idris is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geoinformation, Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying (FABU), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where she has served since 2005. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Newcastle, Australia in 2014. Currently, she serves as the Manager of External and Global Engagement at FABU and is a Fellow of the Geoscience and Digital Earth Centre, UTM.
Dr. Nurul was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Malaysian Scholar Award 2022/2023, where she undertook a three-month research program at The Ohio State University, USA. She was also the recipient of the Australian Government’s Endeavour Research Fellowship in 2017, conducting a six-month research attachment at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
Her scholarly contributions include 45 peer-reviewed publications with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 15, 12 book chapters, and four edited research volumes published by national and international outlets. Most recently, she co-edited the book “Coastal Altimetry: Selected Case Studies from Asian Shelf Seas”, published by Elsevier. She has successfully secured over RM2 million in research funding through 29 international, national, and institutional grants.
Dr. Nurul’s research interests lie in marine remote sensing, focusing on:

Ms. Sasima Juwasophi is an experienced professional in the field of international affairs and education management. Mr. Muhammad Zuhair Gani
Muhammad Zuhair L. Gani is a successful professional with a very strong foundation and a lot of early experience working in the realm of public service. J.D. Faisal Mangotara
Faisal Gani Mangotara, born on May 27, 1987, in Medina, Saudi Arabia, is a dedicated professional and community leader. He currently serves as Director of the Human Resource Development Office at Mindanao State University Main Campus, a position he has held since August 10, 2022. Prior to this, he contributed significantly as a Land Management Officer at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur, from July 4, 2011 to October 31, 2019.
Faisal graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan in Cagayan de Oro City in 2009 and earned his Juris Doctor degree at the Mindanao State University – College of Law Iligan Extension in 2014.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Faisal is a proud member of Beta Sigma Lambda, Inc. Iligan Chapter since 2009, where he was elected as the Most Illustrious Brother in 2011.

Dr Apasrah Mapupuno
Dr. Apasrah M. Macumbal-Mapupuno is a seasoned medical professional and educator with extensive experience in both clinical practice and public health administration. She currently serves as a Professor of Medicine at the Mindanao State University-College of Medicine. Prior to this, she was the Assistant Provincial Health Officer at the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Lanao del Sur under the Ministry of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) from 2023 to 2024.
Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno has held several key roles in public health over the past two decades. From 2009 to 2023, she was a Medical Specialist IV at the IPHO-Lanao del Sur, after serving as Medical Officer IV at the same institution from 2005 to 2009. Her career began at the Medical Services & Hospital of MSU-Marawi, where she worked from 1996 to 2005.
Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from Mindanao State University-College of Medicine in 1994. She furthered her expertise in health systems management, earning a Master in Public Management with a specialization in Health Systems and Development from the Development Academy of the Philippines in 2018. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Mindanao State University-Marawi, earned in 1990.
Throughout her career, Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno has played an instrumental role in several key health programs, serving as the Provincial Medical Coordinator for the Family Planning & Reproductive Health Program, National Immunization Program, National Tuberculosis Program, and Non-Communicable Disease Program from 2005 to 2023. Her leadership was also crucial during the 2017 Marawi Siege, where she managed the operation center for the Marawi Siege Response in Iligan City.
Dr. Macumbal-Mapupuno is also a sought-after speaker, facilitator, and lecturer for health program capacity-building, planning workshops, and consultative meetings. She has served in the Medical Team for the Hajj Mission in 2010, 2012, and 2014.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, she is affiliated with several prestigious organizations, including the Philippine Medical Association, Lanao del Sur Medical Society Chapter (where she was President from 2020 to 2022), the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians, and the Islamic Medical Association of the Philippines. Professor Engobo Emeseh
Engobo Emeseh is a Professor of Law, with extensive experience in higher education spanning over 28 years within and outside the UK. In 2017, she was appointed as the Head of the School of Law, University of Bradford, and since April 2024 has been the Interim Dean of the Faculty of Management, Law and Social Sciences.
Engobo’s research expertise is broadly in environmental law and policy, particularly within the context of the regulation and governance of the extractives industry in Africa. She has worked on these issues with distinguished international organisations such as UNECA IDEP, Oxfam Mozambique, the African Capacity Building Foundation, and the African Community of Practice on Managing for Development Results (Governance and Social Responsibility in Natural Resources Exploitation). She recently completed a four year-long project as a member of the Bayelsa State Oil and Environment Commission, which published its report in May 2023: An Environmental Genocide: The Human and Environmental cost of Big Oil in Bayelsa, Nigeria. She holds various editorial board membership of academic journals, including being the founding Managing Editor of the Nigeria Yearbook of international Law (Springer).
Engobo obtained her PhD from the Centre for Energy Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, University of Dundee. She graduated with first class from the Nigeria Law School and Distinction from the University of Wales Cardiff. She is a former British Council Chevening Scholar, and a Ford Foundation (IFP) doctoral fellow. Prior to her academic career, she practiced as a barrister and solicitor in Nigeria.
Dr. Supattarayan Thongjit
Dr. Supattarayan Thongjit is the Vice Dean, Director of the Advance Dental Assistance Program, Institute of Dentistry, Suranaree University of Technology.
Supattarayan worked in a government hospital in 2006, starting as a dental public health officer. Supattarayan performed duties to the best of his ability, helping people to promote, prevent, treat, and restore health in the area without expecting anything in return. Supattarayan always tried to study and seek knowledge until graduated with the highest level of education, which is a Doctor of Philosophy in Community Health Development, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University.
Dr. Supattarayan continues to attend various training courses that can be used to help in studies and research to find new knowledge in solving health problems in the community until Supattarayan has the opportunity to work with Suranaree University of Technology in the Institute of Dentistry as a lecturer.
Currently, Dr. Supattarayan is the Vice Dean and Director of the High Dental Assistance Program and is still interested in research along with teaching with people in the community to explain the phenomenon of solving health problems continuously so that it can be applied to solve problems and monitor health, especially dental health, Supattarayan thinks will be able to help people and create innovations from the research process in the future.
