Wang, Shin-Yang (Sunny)

Wang, Shin-Yang is an undergraduate student in the department of Applied Foreign Language at NTUST. Before attending NTUST, she used to work as a media research intern at NielsenIQ Taiwan Ltd and as an SEO intern at iwant-in.net Incorporation. She was a member of the 2019 CUC (Chiba University of Commerce) Summer Program and was the 2nd-runner-up of the 2019 Shanghai ETC (English Talent Cup) held at Fudan University.

I am a half Jordanian, half Taiwanese, undergraduate senior student at NTUST. Fluent in Arabic, English, and Chinese I worked as a freelance Translator for 2 years before coming to Taiwan to study electrical engineering.

In Taiwan I took a leadership position acting as the president of NTUST’s Association of International Affairs (AIA), a student’s organization created to introduce Taiwanese culture to foreign exchange students at NTUST, and help them with any questions and request during their stay in Taiwan.

I was also the MC of the farewell ceremony of the Taiwan-Paraguay Students program, a ceremony that saw the attendance of multiple of highly ranked public figures.

Darmawansah

Darmawansah is a Ph.D. candidate in Digital Learning and Education. He is a former high school teacher with more than ten years of teaching experience. He received a distinguished scholarship to earn a dual master’s degree at the State University of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and the National Central University, Taiwan. He also receives a full scholarship from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology for his current Ph.D. study. Several awards and honors have been awarded, including the Best Presenter at the Indonesian Scholars Scientific Summit 2021 (I3S) held by the Overseas Indonesian Students Association Alliance (OISAA) and a finalist in the 2021 National 3 Thesis Minutes (3 MT) competition at the National Taiwan University. His research interests evolve around technology-enhanced learning in Language and STEM Education

Dr Farshid Sefat

Dr Farshid Sefat is Associate Professor and Programme Leader in Biomedical and Electronic Engineering Department at the University of Bradford (UK) and previously was head of Biomedical Engineering Department at King Faisal University (Saudi Arabia) and also a Visiting Professor at Stevens Institute of Technology (New Jersey, USA). He completed his post doctorate research assistant at University of Sheffield (UK) in the area of cornea tissue engineering. He received his Ph.D. (2011) and BEng. (2005) degrees from University of Bradford (UK) both in Biomedical Engineering mainly focus on bone cell engineering. He also obtained his MSc. (2006) in Cell and Tissue Engineering from Keele University (UK).

His research is based on developing biomaterials to control cellular behaviour with particular emphasis in developing engineered materials for various tissue engineering applications.  He is an author on >100 peer-reviewed journal articles, editorials and review papers and >30 book chapters/edited books. He is on the editorial boards and reviewer of >30 numerous journals including Materials Today, Acta Biomaterialia, IEEE, Bone, MDPI, Journal of Orthopaedics & Rheumatology, Materials Science and Engineering C, Journal of Biomechanics and many more.

Bakkialakshmi V. S

Ms. Bakkialakshmi. V.S from India is currently a research fellow and teaching faculty. Her qualification is M.Sc., M. Phil., M.E., (PhD) in computer science engineering gave her 15+ years of experience in Teaching + Research + Administration. She is passionate about exploring new possibilities. Her current milestone – she is the sponsored WTUN research exchange visitor, visits as a researcher to Upper Austria–Europe from India. Her international visit profits from an international collaboration between partner universities, publication in proceedings & International research project collaboration.

Her research interests are carried in the field of Affective Computing on Emotional Psychology. 10+ publications in the same research area with the following achievements.

  • “Research Scholar Excellence Award 2022” by GMRAF for research excellence in the research area of Affective computing on Emotional Psychology.
  • “News today” News Magazine publication on “Psychological effects of online learning during the covid pandemic”
  • “Trinity Mirror” News Magazine publication on “Students Emotional Psychology – Psychological effects of online learning”.
  • Total 11 articles Published and presented in Scopus Indexing/WoS Journals and conferences. Including international collaborated publications.
  • Guest Lectures and webinars presented Physically and online in multiple locations and platforms.

 

Dr Angelina Geetha

Angelina Geetha, Dean of Engineering and Technology, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
She graduated in Computer Science and Engineering from Guindy College of Engineering, Anna University. Further, pursued her research in the area of Web Mining specializing in Search Engine Optimization and secured her doctorate in the year 2008. Her areas of research includes Data Analytics, Web Mining, Knowledge Management and Natural Language Processing. She has to her credit a number of journal publications and conference presentations.
Basically a passionate teacher, with an experience of 25 years of teaching in higher Education Institutions. Her attention is always on practicing modern pedagogies in class room teaching.
Organized numerous workshops on modern teaching techniques namely, Activity based Learning, Exploratory Learning, Case Study Writing and Project Based Learning. She is also actively involved in Curriculum and syllabi framing leading to Outcome Based Education. Her prime interest is, bringing about innovation in teaching learning process to change the focus from “What I learnt” to “What I can do”.

M K BADRINARAYANAN

Academic and Research professional with more than 15 years of experience in academic,
research, Project & Programme Management entailing start-up incubation, start-ups,
entrepreneurship, conceptualization, planning and monitoring of International & National
collaborative research/action research development projects across Microfinance, Poverty
Alleviation, Women Empowerment, Micro Enterprise Promotion, Livelihoods Promotion, MSME
Clusters, E-literacy and E-governance.

– Mentored Student Entrepreneurs and their startup venture ideas through the Hindustan
Technology Business Incubator and the Hindustan Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre.
Mentored Student Innovators for participation in PALS Innowah, MMA Business Plan Contest,
Melting Pot Pitch Fest, Tie Pitchfest, CII Startupreneurs, TIECON, National E-Bike Challenge,
Smart India Hackathon, Google OMC, ADB Open Innovation Challenge and so on.

Mrs T. Chandra Banu

Ms Chandra Banu is currently serving in School of Management of Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science as Associate Professor since 2015.

Before that she served in Government of India , Ministry of Defence in various capacities as Civilian Officer belonging to Armed Forces Head Quarters Civil Service (AFHQCS). She dealt with Human Resource Planning for Officer Cadre of the Indian Army when she was instrumental in introduction women officer commissioning in the Indian Army. She received the Chief of Army Staff’s Commendation. She was dealing with Indian Army’s expenditure budget for four years streamlining the system of monitoring and control of the budget. For her exemplary services she received Chief of Army Staff’s Commendation for the second time.

She has also served Defence Research and Development Organisation and Airports authority of India utilizing her expertise in Project Management and Human Resource Development. in all she has 32 years of service in Government of India. She is an alumni of University of Bradford and did MBA during 1998-99.

Dr C Kezi Selva Vijila

Dr. C. Kezi Selva Vijila is currently working as the Controller of Examinations at the Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, India. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from Anna University Chennai. She has 27 years of experience in Teaching, Research, and Administration. She was heading the ECE department at Karunya University Coimbatore. Dr. Vijila assumed the Principalship of the Christian College of Engineering and Technology in 2010.

Dr. Vijila has a passel of publications under her belt. Her publications in National and International journals have received wide acclaim. She has produced 10 Ph.Ds within a short span. She received the Young Women Scientist Award from the Government of Tamil Nadu for her pioneering work in the field of Engineering and Technology.

During the pandemic she presented in ICBL2020 conference – International Conference in Canada – October 2020, organised by Mcmaster University Canada, 2021 and Virtual Conference on Higher Education at Ankara Turkey, 2022. Participated as an eminent speaker during the Panel Discussion regarding Challenges in Higher Education Institutions at the 14 th World Education Summit, held at Mumbai, in 2018 and WES Summit, Delhi in 2019 and received the best speaker award. Organised 35 webinars as President of ELTAI, Kancheepuram chapter.
Organised national level English competitions and encouraged student of all colleges across nation. Organised several events as Head of Fempower Centre, HITS and Higher Education events as Head of Dr KCG Verghese Higher Education Leadership Management Centre.
